The world around me in different media. Mostly Plein Air.
Landscapes from Mongolia
Some plein-air on short breaks in our photography tour and the rest back at home. Deep impressions of those sweeping landscapes still linger on…
Painting days at Villa Tacchi
Late summer with a hint of Fall. My short two days got reduced to the spacious grounds of this 17th century Italian country villa.
The joy of green
Forests & woodlands, fields & meadows. Can you ever have enough of the colour Green?
Glimpses of the Panthanal
Some small quick watercolours from the world's largest tropical wetland area, and the world's largest flooded grasslands. The Panthanal, Brazil.
The trees of San Ramon
California living. Tall eucalyptus trees. Low wooden houses.
There is just that unmatchable laid-back vibe.
Fine Dwellings
Castles and Palaces and Churches and all these fine buildings.
The landmarks we know our cities, towns and villages by. Their character shaped by us and we in turn shaped by them.
The Standalones
Paintings from places that merit many more from. Till each can become a separate gallery of it’s own.
Along the Austrian Weinstrasse
On the southern eastern border of Austria is the Austrian Weinstrasse or Wine Road. Famous and fine and absolutely fabulous. These are a collection of watercolours, oil pastels and pencil drawings that formed the exhibition at the Vineyard Hack-Gebell.
Bella Italia
It’s something about the light. It’s something about the colours. It’s something in the very air of this beautiful country that makes it a joy to paint and I grab every opportunity I can to do just that.
Farms & Barns
From Austria, Slovenia and Romania. Providing an human element and a context to the landscapes. Often time worn. Often in pristine condition.
Die Eisenstrasse
From the streets where I live. Buildings from the towns along the centuries old trade route across the heart of Austria, the Styrian Iron Road.
Moody Blues
Attempts to paint Water. Abstract. Moody. Dynamic. All things challenging while paintings.
